How we check
What “Verified” means
Every source here was checked against its own pages — its licence, terms and download pages — not copied from another list. Each fact links to the page that supports it. A source is marked Verified only when all of these were confirmed on its own pages in the last 90 days:
- Site is up
- Free resources actually exist
- Licence identified
- Commercial use checked
- Attribution requirement checked
- Sign-up requirement checked
- Free download link found
“Free” covers very different deals — public domain, credit required, personal use only, a free tier with limits. We record which one each source offers, and where a licence changes from item to item we say so rather than guess. Those sources never match a licence filter.
We record what each source says about its own terms, with links to where it says it. That is not legal advice, and terms change: check the licence on the page you download from before you use an asset.
