About

What Rotate & Flip Image does

Rotate images in 90° steps and mirror them horizontally or vertically. Apply the same change across a batch in one go.

Everything happens on your own machine: the file is decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser, and never leaves your device. There is no upload, no queue and no account.

Why this one

Why use Rotate & Flip Image here

  • A whole batch in one turn

Turn or mirror every image you drop in at once, then download them together as a ZIP.

  • Untouched until you touch it

Download before turning anything and you get your original file back, byte for byte.

  • Upright everywhere

Phones often save a photo sideways and only label it upright. Turned here, the pixels are saved the right way round, so it looks the same in every app.

  • Nothing is uploaded

Your photos are turned by your own browser and saved straight back to your device.

How it works

How to use Rotate & Flip Image

  1. Drop in one image or a batch.

  2. Press Left or Right to turn in 90° steps, and Horizontally or Vertically to mirror.

  3. The previews turn as you go; a 90° turn swaps the width and height.

  4. Download one image, or the whole batch as a ZIP.

Questions

Frequently asked

How do I rotate an image?

Drop it here, press Left or Right until it is the right way up, and download. Drop several to turn them all the same way at once.

Why does my photo appear rotated in one app but not another?

Cameras often record orientation as EXIF metadata rather than rotating the pixels, and not every application honours that flag. Rotating here writes the corrected pixels, so the image looks the same everywhere.

What is the difference between rotating and flipping?

Rotating turns the image around its centre. Flipping mirrors it, producing a reversed image — which matters for anything containing text, since flipped text reads backwards.

Does rotating lose quality?

A PNG loses nothing. A JPG or WebP is saved again at high quality (92 of 100), which you will not see in normal viewing but is a second round of compression. GIF, BMP and AVIF files come out as JPG.

Can I rotate by a custom angle, like 45°?

Not here: this turns in 90° steps. To level a slightly tilted photo, open it in Crop Image and use Straighten on the Transform tab, which turns it up to 15° either way.

How do I un-mirror a selfie?

Press Horizontally under Mirror. Some front cameras save selfies mirrored; flipping one back makes any writing in it read the right way.

Are my images uploaded?

No. They are processed inside this page, on your device, and saved straight back to it. Nothing is sent to a server, so there is no copy anywhere else to delete.
