About
What Split PDF does
Pull a page range out of a PDF as a new document, or break every page into its own file. Useful for sending one section of a long report without sending the whole thing.
Everything happens on your own machine: the file is decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser, and never leaves your device. There is no upload, no queue and no account.
Why this one
Why use Split PDF here
-
See the pages you pick
Every page is drawn, and clicking one is the same as typing its number. No opening the file somewhere else to find page 7.
-
Nothing is uploaded
The PDF is split by your own browser and never sent anywhere.
-
No quality lost
Pages are copied, not redrawn: text stays selectable and nothing is re-compressed.
-
Free, with no limits
No daily quota, no sign-up and no watermark on what you download.

Questions
Frequently asked
How do I extract pages from a PDF?
Drop the PDF here, keep One PDF selected and click the pages you want, or type them, such as 2-5, 9. Press Extract & download and you get a new PDF with just those pages, in their original order.
How do I split a PDF into separate pages?
Choose A file per page and press Split & download. Every page becomes its own PDF, and they arrive together in a zip.
Is Split PDF free and private?
Yes to both. There is no limit and no sign-up, and the file is split by your own browser, so it is never uploaded.
What is the difference between extracting a range and splitting every page?
Extracting a range produces one new PDF containing the pages you named. Splitting every page produces one single-page PDF per page, delivered as a zip.
Does the original file change?
Never. The file you drop in is only read. Splitting produces new documents and leaves your original untouched on disk.
Does splitting affect text or quality?
No. Pages are copied rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable and nothing is re-compressed.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Unlock it first with Unlock PDF, which needs the file's password, then split the unlocked copy.
