About
What Watermark PDF does
Stamp text or a logo across a PDF. Put it over the page or behind the content, choose where it sits, how large and how strong it is, and which pages get it — with the result shown on the real page before you download it.
Everything happens on your own machine: the file is decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser, and never leaves your device. There is no upload, no queue and no account.

Questions
Frequently asked
How do I add a watermark to a PDF for free?
Drop the PDF here, pick a ready-made stamp or type your own text (or add a logo), and adjust its position, size and opacity on the preview. Then press Save PDF.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Yes. Type the pages in Pages, as a range like 1-3, 5, and only those pages get the stamp.
Can a watermark be removed again?
Yes, by anyone determined enough. A watermark is drawn into the page, so removing it means editing the PDF — awkward but perfectly possible. Treat it as a mark of ownership or status, not as protection. To stop copying or printing, use Protect PDF, and read there what those restrictions are honestly worth.
Over the page or behind it?
Over the page is what people expect from a Draft or Confidential stamp, and stays visible whatever is underneath. Behind the content keeps the text fully readable and suits a logo on a document that will be read closely. Scanned pages are a special case: their content is one big picture, so a watermark placed behind it will not show at all.
Will it change how the rest of the document looks?
No. The stamp is added to the pages and nothing else is rewritten — the text, fonts and pictures already in the file are left exactly as they were.
Can I use my own logo?
Yes. Drop in a PNG or JPG and it becomes the stamp, with the same control over position, size, rotation and opacity. A PNG with transparency keeps it.
Is it free, and is my PDF uploaded?
It is free, with no limits and no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded: the watermark is added by your browser.
