About
What Merge PDF does
Combine several PDFs into a single document, in an order you control. Page content is copied across as-is, so text stays selectable and quality is untouched.
Everything happens on your own machine: the file is decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser, and never leaves your device. There is no upload, no queue and no account.
Why this one
Why use Merge PDF here
-
Nothing is uploaded
Your PDFs are joined by your own browser. There is no copy on a server to delete afterwards, because there never was one.
-
Quality untouched
Pages are copied into the new file, not redrawn, so text stays selectable and pictures are not re-compressed.
-
No limits, no account
No daily quota, no cap on the number of files, no sign-up and no watermark.
-
Order by drag or by keys
Drag a document into place, or move it with its arrows. The merged file follows the list, top to bottom.

Questions
Frequently asked
How do I merge PDF files into one?
Drop the PDFs onto this page, or click to choose them. Put them in order by dragging a document or using its arrows, then press Merge & download. You get one PDF with every page, in the order shown.
Is Merge PDF free?
Yes, completely. There is no trial, no daily limit, no watermark and nothing to sign up for. It costs us nothing to run, because the merging happens on your computer rather than on ours.
Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs here?
Yes, and not because of a promise about how carefully a server treats them: they are never sent to one. Your browser reads and joins the files, and the merged PDF is saved straight to your device.
Does merging reduce quality or rasterise the text?
No. Pages are copied into the new document rather than re-rendered, so text remains real text, vectors remain vectors, and embedded images are not re-compressed.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not directly: a PDF that needs a password to open cannot be read until it is unlocked. If you know the password, take it off with Unlock PDF, then merge the unlocked copy.
Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?
No limit is imposed, since the work happens locally. Very large documents are bounded by the memory available on your device.
Can I merge PDFs on a Mac, iPhone or Android phone?
Yes. It runs in the browser, so Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android all work, with nothing to install. On a phone, tap to pick the files from Files or your downloads.
Can I merge Word files or images with my PDFs?
Not in this tool: it combines PDFs. Turn a Word document into a PDF first with Word to PDF, then merge the result with the others.
