Frequently asked questions
- Does cropping reduce quality?
- Cropping itself only discards the pixels outside your selection — the pixels you keep are unchanged. Some quality loss can occur when the result is re-encoded in a lossy format such as JPG.
- Which aspect ratio should I use?
- 1:1 suits avatars and most social grid posts, 16:9 suits video thumbnails and slides, and 4:5 is the tallest portrait format most social feeds display in full. Use Free when the composition matters more than the container.
- Can I crop several images at once?
- No — cropping is a per-image decision, so this tool works on one image at a time. To apply the same pixel change to a batch, resizing is the tool you want.
