Frequently asked questions
- Does merging reduce quality or rasterise the text?
- No. Pages are copied into the new document rather than re-rendered, so text remains real text, vectors remain vectors, and embedded images are not re-compressed.
- Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
- Encrypted PDFs cannot be read without being unlocked first. Remove the password in the application that created the file, then merge the unlocked copy.
- Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?
- No limit is imposed, since the work happens locally. Very large documents are bounded by the memory available on your device.
