Resize Image
Resize by max dimension or percentage, keeping the aspect ratio.
Runs locally — your files never leave your device
About Resize Image
Resize images by longest side or by percentage, with the aspect ratio preserved so nothing is stretched. Works across a whole batch at once.
Everything happens on your own machine: the file is decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser, and never leaves your device. There is no upload, no queue and no account.
How to resize image
- Drop in one image or a batch.
- Choose Max size to bound the longest side to a pixel value, or Percentage to scale everything proportionally.
- The new dimensions are shown for each file as it is resized.
- Download individually, or take the whole batch as a zip.
Frequently asked questions
- Will resizing distort my images?
- No. Both modes preserve the original aspect ratio, so images are scaled rather than stretched. If you need a specific shape, crop first and then resize.
- Can I enlarge an image?
- You can scale above 100%, but no tool can recover detail that was never captured. Enlarging interpolates between existing pixels, so the result looks softer than a true high-resolution original.
- What does max size mean when my images are different shapes?
- It bounds the longest side of each image, whichever side that is. A landscape and a portrait photo given the same max size will both fit inside that square bound while keeping their own proportions.
